CASE MANAGERS
Provide Case Management Services to individuals who are HIV+ as well as those at high risk for HIV infection. Conduct intakes and assess previous healthcare/social services needs. Link clients w/ services and referrals.
BA/BS and 1 year Case Management exp or 2 years college with 1 year addiction and substance abuse exp. Computer literate. Bi-Lingual English/Spanish and/or CASAC a plus. Medicaid Billing exp a plus. LMSW, MSW, MPH, and BSW are encouraged to apply.
EDUCATORS
Responsible for implementing prevention education programs and conducting outreach for high-risk populations. Conduct ongoing specialized outreach activities targeted to reach individuals and communities who may be at risk for HIV infection. Implement and facilitate interventions for students, out of school youth, substance users, economically deprived, culturally diverse, physically and mentally challenged populations, all in accordance with work plan objectives. Organize and present other educational programs as assigned to communities trying to understand and assess risky behavior for HIV infection. Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for new agency staff.
Bachelor’s degree, extensive HIV/AIDS knowledge, excellent public speaking and writing skills, and experience working with adolescents required.
PREVENTION SPECIALIST
Engage high-risk individuals through outreach and social networking, and communicate the services that are available to them through HIV and Hepatitis counseling, testing and referrals. Conduct mobile HIV testing, including pre- and post- test counseling, facilitate access to Hepatitis C testing, and coordinate referrals and service linkages. Work with newly diagnosed and existing clients in identifying their social networks. Distribute information relating to HIV/AIDS prevention education, Hepatitis C prevention education, risk reduction information, methamphetamine, condoms, referrals and food vouchers. Assist with the generation of monthly and quarterly reports.
Bachelor's degree required. One year experience in conducting outreach. One year HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of targeted communities where outreach will be conducted. Good verbal and organizational skills a must. Must have excellent computer and writing skills.
CLIENT PROGRAMS COORDINATOR
Develop and formulate the programmatic objectives of the Client Programs Department in accordance with agency and funding standards and objectives. Enforce systems for Quality Assurance to ensure that standards of care are being met, services for clients are in place, and that problems and crises are appropriately addressed. Develop and maintain annual work plans, measuring quantitative and qualitative goals, objectives, and strategies. Directly supervise the coordination of monthly, quarterly, and final reports to the various funders. Oversee staff training and development for the direct service staff of the Client Programs Department.
Masters degree required or Bachelor’s degree and two years related experience. MSW, CASAC preferred. Three years HIV/AIDS or other related field required. Supervisory experience is necessary. Must have excellent, Word, Excel and writing skills.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTS
Provide administrative support which includes: typing, filing, travel arrangements, making appointments and phone calls, monitoring deadlines, preparing reports, etc. Compose (as required) and type correspondence, reports, minutes, and memoranda. Screen visitors, telephone calls, and mail.
Must have 2 years of experience in an administrative support staff position. Must have excellent Word and Excel skills, editing, formatting, and writing skills. Knowledge of the Internet. Business school certificate preferred. Notary Public a plus. Shorthand (taking minutes at meetings) preferred.
GRAPHIC ARTISTS
Work in the layout, design and printing of all agency print materials. Oversee production of LIAAC’s newsletter. Assist in the design and maintenance of agency websites. Work to enhance LIAAC’s presence on the internet by developing the content/interactivity of the agency’s websites. Work in conjunction with department staff to promote, through electronic means, the agency’s sites, services and events.
Bachelor’s degree or two years’ experience in relevant field required. Must be proficient in HTML, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, Quark, and Photoshop. Excellent editing and communications skills required. Experience in not-for-profit work desirable. Candidate must balance workload and communicate effectively with team members to reliably implement assignments on a deadline.
