On Monday, October 20, 2003, LIAAC hosted its 12th annual Golf and Tennis Outing at the Woodcrest Club in Syosset. Besides golf and tennis, participants had the opportunity to take advantage of spa facilities including exclusive use of the fully-equipped gym, steam room and sauna. Relaxing massages, facials and manicures were also offered along with a personal trainer session. Towards evening, a cocktail reception followed by a buffet dinner and raffle drawing took place.

Honorees
This year the following two people were honored at the event for their long-term community leadership and their commitment to raising awareness regarding Long Island's AIDS crisis:

Diane Romanello
Scenic Landscape Artist

Diane Romanello is a self taught artist whose scenic paintings are characterized by a sense of beauty and romance, inviting the viewer into a natural serene world. Diane was chosen by an independent survey in Decor Magazine (June 2002) to be one of the twenty-five artists - living or dead - who are what they call a "sure thing". Her work is published and distributed by Bruce McGaw Graphics and she is one of the top selling poster artists in the United States and internationally. Through the McGaw Foundation and Long Island's United Way, she has distributed the proceeds from her work "Idle Hour" to the support of HIV/AIDS organizations. LIAAC has been the recipient of her generous heartfelt grants since 1995.
